Membership Policies

2008 fee schedule


1. Hours of operation for the 2008 season are 10am-8:30pm (pool closes at 8:00pm).
**Hours are always weather permitting.

2. HOURS AT THE BEGINNING AND END OF THE SEASON MAY INCREASE OR DECREASE DUE TO WEATHER OR STAFFING.

3. Guest fee rates will be $7.00 every day; after 5pm the fee will be $5.00. Children under the age of 2 will not be charged a guest fee.

4. Any guest will be limited to two paid visits per month (exceptions made for members’ guests who are in town for an extended stay); however, there is no limit to the number of guests a member may bring. All guests will be recorded at entry.

5. Members are responsible for their guest’s actions at all times. Any disturbances will result in ejection from the grounds and a possible suspension of membership privileges.

6. All guests must be accompanied by a member. This policy also applies on complimentary guest days.

7. All sign ups for our programs and activities will be at the front gate. There you will also find flyers announcing different activities as well as information on upcoming events.

8. There are no reserved areas for individuals or groups. Please show courtesy toward other members.

9. The pool may be closed at anytime for maintenance, inclement weather, special events, or health conditions.

10. The main swimming pool will be closed during swim meets, however, the pool grounds will still be open. Meets are generally scheduled in the morning and dates will be posted ahead of time at the front gate.

11. Tennis courts are on a first come, first served basis and may be used on an hourly basis when there are no activities scheduled. All lessons and leagues will take precedence.

12. Any interference by a member with the management or staff, as well as any kind of misconduct, will result in membership termination.

13. Management reserves the right to limit or refuse guests due to overcrowding or special events.

14. Members using babysitters may do so for that purpose only. Babysitters may use the grounds while performing their babysitting duties only

Pool Rules

Pool rules are designed to provide a safe and friendly environment for our members. The management and lifeguards will strictly enforce pool rules. These rules will be posted at all entrances to the grounds.

1. Members and guests must sign in upon entering the pool grounds. Adult members are responsible for their children understanding the rules. Children must have an adult responsible for them at all times. Parents must accompany children under the age of sixteen. Parents leaving unsupervised children will be subject to a suspension of their membership.

2. Food and beverage may be consumed only in the designated areas. No food, candy, or drinks, other than water in closed plastic containers, are allowed on the grassy area or on the pool deck. Coolers are not allowed on the grassy area or on the pool deck.

3. Running, horseplay, offensive language or behavior will not be tolerated in the pool area.

4. All children who are not fully toilet trained will not be allowed in the adult pool at any time. Swim diapers or diapers of any kind are not allowed in the adult pool.

5. Children who cannot yet swim must wear a personal flotation device and be within arms reach of their parent or guardian. Children may use personal flotation devices as long as a parent or guardian is within arms reach.

6. Children must pass a basic deep end test in order to use the diving board, slide or swim in the deep end. The lifeguards will administer tests. The deep end test consists of swimming across and back in the deep end and treading water for one minute.

7. Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time.

8. Shoes must be worn on the upper deck at all times

9. Everyone using the pools must wear swimsuits. No cut-offs, jeans, or t-shirts will be allowed for safety and operational reasons.

10. Parents are responsible for children using the kiddie pool and learning pool areas. Aqua shoes must be worn in the kiddie pool.

11. Lap lanes are provided for lap swimmers only. Do not cut through the lanes or hang on the lines.

12. Members may bring a cooler or pack a lunch provided that glass containers are not used and they are stored on the upper deck.

13. Lockers are provided inside the locker rooms. Locks should be removed each evening before 6pm.

14. The Club will not be responsible for any loss or damage to personal items.

15. There are no refunds of membership or guest fees.

16. The pond area is not the property of The Grist Mill Pool Club. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
